Insightful AWS post on climate risk

Projected increase in cooling degree days (CDD), or the additional number of degrees above 65˚F experienced per year relative to a historical baseline, derived from downscaled global climate models. The lightest areas are those with the least increase in cooling degree days, while the darkest areas are those projected to experience the highest increase in cooling degree days. Perry Beaumont

About Perry Beaumont

With more than two decades of experience as a data scientist, Perry Beaumont assesses risk mitigation initiatives and contributes insights related to corporate growth and strategy.

Perry Beaumont also offers instruction on the subjects of economics, statistics, and finance. He regularly lectures at the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University, and is often invited to speak at various conferences related to topics of insurance and analytics. In 2019 he was featured in a documentary entitled "Data Science :Pioneers".

Throughout his career, Mr. Beaumont has been recognized for numerous accomplishments. He successfully filed a US patent for a computer apparatus and method, and has authored three books, including Digital Finance, which he published in 2019. To share his insights into data science, he also authors blogs and regularly authors papers. He is currently studying the role of macro economic policies in the context of implications for insurance industry outlooks.
